PROGRAM OVERVIEW

North American Preparatory Hockey Academy will operate U10 and U12 Prep Academy teams. This program will run on the weekends, allowing players to live at home, attend their schools in their community, and play an elite level of hockey. Our goal is to provide regional players professional coaching/training and elite development opportunities. NA Prep's Academy teams will be operated through a joint partnership between North American Preparatory Hockey Academy (NAPHA) and North American Wild Hockey Association.

PREP ACADEMY TEAM STRUCTURE

Academics

  • Athletes attend their local educational institution
  • Athletes held to the high academic standard 
  • Schedule allows for optimal player training around the class schedule

On-Ice Training

  • Highly qualified coaches with Junior, College, and Pro experience 
  • 40 On-Ice Training Sessions (4-5 hours 2-3 weekends per month)
  • Power skating and skill development
  • Detailed hockey system instruction, including video analysis
  • Pre-game practices

Off-Ice Training

  • Regular individual fitness training
  • Overall personal character development
  • Virtual Classroom (All players will participate in our classroom program, where we will focus on team building, systems, and our leadership program.)
  • Private online training
  • Most well-rounded athlete development in the industry
  • Hockey specific Training
  • mästare - leadership training course developed by coach Jami James
  • At-home workouts during the week (2-3 times per week)

Games

  • ‘AA'/'AAA’ level competition 
  • Attend 3-4 elite US and Canadian based 'AAA' & showcase tournaments
  • Exhibition Games
  • 20-24 games in the Premier Hockey League in Canada
  • 4-5 games per PHL weekends
  • AAU Nationals (Toronto)
  • 35-45 game season

  • Players train out of Montana Community Rinks 
  • Teams play out of rinks in Alberta and British Columbia

2021-2022 TRY-OUT PROCESS

Returning To Play

In light of the world just getting back to normal, we will offer players several opportunities to be selected and evaluated for the 2021-2022 season only. We will be offering specific sessions for our ID/Try-Outs. We also include the following options for player selections:

  • Personal Invite
  • NA Prep summer camps (throughout the summer)
  • Development Weekends
  • NA Prep season evaluations
  • Coaches recommendation
  • Video submission
  • Called up from one of NA Prep development programs

The North American Preparatory Hockey Academy will begin on-ice sessions on September 11, 2021. There are limited spots available on each of our teams. Please see the steps below if you are interested in being privately evaluated via a development weekend, summer camp, video submission, or attend our try-out ID Camps for one of our Tier teams.

Prep Academy Team

  • $6,900 for the 21-22 season (payment plans available)

Covers:

  • one full-time coach and two assistants
  • website operation

  • home/away jerseys
  • home, and away socks
  • shells
  • off-ice training t-shirt/shorts
  • track-suit
  • league fees
  • tournament fees 
  • exhibition game fees 
  • practice ice fees 
  • 10% contingency coverage.

PAYMENT PLANS WILL BE AVAILABLE - $1000 fully-refundable deposit has to be made on signing day.

Ice time, training games, and practices are subject to cancellation, and North American Preparatory Hockey Academy will use best efforts to meet the commitments in the on-Ice training and game composition section.

Prospective Player Process

Registration Steps

  1. Register for the try-out or alternative try-out option 

  2. Pay try-out process fee

  3. Player selections will be completed by August 15, 2021

  4. Sign player agreement contract

  5. Pay deposit

Over the next few weeks, we will be communicating with our families with updates for the 2021-2022 season. We will monitor all guidance and adapt our schedules and programming, if required, to ensure that we remain compliant while providing the best possible environment for our players.
